From our datacenter we have 2 separate connections to the internet, a data T1 and a Business grade FiOS connection.
The T1 serves all of our every day internet needs (surfing, web hosting, email, etc...) while the FiOS is dedicated to our PACS imaging system to handle the uploading and downloading of very large medical grade images.
We set this up using 2 Cisco ASA 5500 series devices, 1 for the T1 internet (T1gwy) and the other for the FiOS (FiOSgwy).
All the servers / computers on the subnet use a default gateway of 192.168.105.1, our Core Router which routes any interent requests on to the T1gwy ASA, then from there off to the border router.
The one computer that needs access to the FiOS has the default gateway set to the FiOSgwy ASA which has an IP of 192.168.105.250.
This setup has... sort of worked. The computer pointed at the FiOS gwy is visible to all other computers on the .105 subnet (to which it belongs and all the other servers belong).
However, my problem is that devices on any other subnets can't see it, nor can it see them.
I figure there is some additional routing that needs to be configured on the FiOS gwy ASA... but I'm not sure. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!!
The fact that this question is so poorly worded should demonstrate my pathetic networking knowledge...
We could either modify our core router to include the FIOS subnet in the OSPF router table or add the route on our rouge Windows server. We decided to add the route on our Windows server because this resulted in less downtime. (And we do not anticipate adding any more machines to that network branch)
