Hi Guys.
I am wanting to share an internet connection from one central ISA server to a series of small businesses within a complex.
The businesses must not be able to access each others files, we only want them to have access to the internet connection and their internal network.
I have looked into V-lans and was just looking into A cheaper alternative then multiple managed switches managing V-lans.
Basically I am asking if this method will work, and for any advice.
This is just a brief outline of what i think could be a possible solution. (please advise if there is anything I have neglected)
1. Internet connection goes into ISA server.
2. Each office has a router which is allocated an IP address through the server.
3. The router then distributes IPs and internet access to the network within that business.
4. The office then should only be able to browse within its own routed area.
I was just wondering.
1. Will this work?
2. How secure are the other offices? Is there a way for users to browse outside their routing group into another offices routing group? If so, can we block this?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks guys.
