I understand how to perform some parts of subnetting, such as gathering the class of the IP, the network and node part, applying the formula (2n-2). But I am now not sure how to find the subnet mask, the subnetwork address is different (192.168.1.0).
Question from the MCSE Guide to Microsoft® Windows 2000
Organisation has been allocated a class C address of 200.30.40.0
Network A has 10 users, B has 22 users, C has 30 users
They also require serial links between these networks.
I understand the default subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, but if I do create the subnets, what is the subnet mask for each network then, it surely can't be 255.255.255.0.
Can somebody show me in steps how would they perform subnetting on that question.
