I would like some advice as to how to set up 3 internal networks that share a common internet connection. I presently have available 2 Cisco 2811 routers each with just 2 interfaces on them (each has at least 1 open expansion bay) and 4 Netgear VLAN capable 24 and 48 port switches.
The 3 networks will be Production, Lab, and Guest. The networks must not be accessible from one to the other. The production network will actually have a second internet connection available to support a secondary MX record for mail delivery but I think that doesn't much matter to this question. The guest network will be a wifi network but the solution can include hanging separate wifi router(s) around the building instead of adding wifi right at the top level.
The internet connection will be ethernet at 10 mbps. This connection is actually a 4 mbps synchronous fiber service but an ISP owned and controlled Cisco router provides my Cisco router with an ethernet connection.
I will want to be able to limit bandwidth used by both the Lab and Guest networks so that they don't swamp the Production network. If the production network needs all the 4 mbps of bandwidth I need it to get it immediately without intervention on my part.
Thanks.
