Hi KevinCovert, Thanks for the quick reply. Our purpose is to create a secure Small Office network which the server will be set to block out internet browsing except to 1 domain which is our web email to All of the staff and full access to all the Managers. (Therefore No P2P, Messenger and definitely Facebook for the staff). We are waiting for our NETGEAR ProSafe VPN Firewall Model FVS318 to arrive so to have a Hardware Firewall before the Server and the ADSL Modem.
Since we are a small company and funds are limited, we need to find a cheap solution to achieve a secured and controlled LAN and restrictive access to WAN. We did not have LAN attached to the Internet before but now we have to. The shop that I bought the Server from has been pushing me to get ISA Server which I'm trying to avoid if possible as the cost would be quite steep and has been trying to add more Hardware and software all the time. Therefore the research I'm doing to reduce our cost. We think we have spent quite a bit for our Company Size. Can Untangle achieve what we need without ISA? Thanks again for the help.

It depends on what your trying to secure and accomplish. If you want a good all round free small office firewall/avs/content filter I would go with untangle. If you are looking for a more complex and beefy edge device I would go with ISA. With all that said, I honestly prefer a hardware firewall, look at the SonicWall tz series, Netgear also has some decent cost effective devices (about $250).
But your needs/demands will dictate which route you take.
