We have network for about 2000 computers supported by Cisco Catalyst Switches,
The issue is with the users, Most of the users need to do a release and renew for the IP to get the access to internet and other internet based applications.
I checked the IP lease time from the DHCP server and its standard to 8 days but still i have to do it every day manually.

~Right then you have a problem with the PC's getting locked up some where. Nothing to do with DHCP.
Sounds like your router has an issuse and if it was me I would be looking at that rather then the PCs to start of with..
OF course first check all the network settings on teh PC and check that they are correct.
but when you reset the IP, you are bacicaly resettign the PC network connection on to the network. So if it has locked up on the router then resetting the IP will be sorting this ourt.
What router do you use? and if it currently picks up DNS of the service provider. I would suggest entering this information manualy..
Also you could put Wireshark on the PC. wait for it to stop working and then go try access a web page while capturing the data.
IF it is a DNS error you will see a failed DNS request. If some thing is timing out you will see this as well. This should givve you a better Idea about what may be happening..

install it on a pc that has this problem
what for the problem to apper and then run this capture software and try to access a web page..
then follow through the DNS traffic, and the HTTP traffic (you can filter the traffic to see these.)
this will show up what the errors are. Ie. are your DNS requests failing. Is the router replying when a client tries to access the web.. Is the router replying at all to clients?
runnign this will give you a very good idea of what is going on.
