Any greyed out folders listed in the Reverse Lookup Zone? Those would be delegations, would be interesting to see where responsibility has been delegated to.

Browse All TopicsWe have three DNS servers using AD Integrated recently I noticed that our DNS servers are missing PTR records when I went to add manually i saw the following error "a new record cannot be created. the record could not be created because this is part of the DNS namespace has been delegated to another server. I tried to create on all three servers and saw the same message.

Open the properties of the Reverse Zone in DNS manager.
Then check that your current domain controllers are set as name servers and the type is set to Active Directory integrated and not secondary.
