Cannot delete Backup Exec "System Logon Account" version 12.5

Backup Exec 12.5 running on Windows Server 2003.

For "Logon Accounts" i have a service account i created, that is the default logon account.

There is also a "system logon account" that is using an old service account, that no longer exists.

Because that account no longer exists, i need to delete it, and create a new "system logon account"

When I try to delete the existing "system logon account" i get the following error:

"The account 'system logon account' cannot be deleted because the following users have selected it as their default logon account and one or more of them are currently logged on to the media server."

it then lists 4 users;

NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Domain\user1
Domain\user2
Domain\user3

I can tell you that I am logging onto the server as domain\administrator and that no one else is logged onto the server.

All Backup Exec services are starting under a current service account (not the same as the system logon account).

All BUE SQL services are starting under that same service account

All backup jobs are running with again, that same service account, for credentials.

I am at a loss.  what do i need to do, to be able to delete the "system logon account" so that I can recreate it with a valid user?

Yes,

none of those stated criteria is satisfied.  as stated in that article, if any of those criteria were met, the delete button would be greyed out.  it is not greyed out for me.

the error i get is;

"The account 'system logon account' cannot be deleted because the following users have selected it as their default logon account and one or more of them are currently logged on to the media server."

it then lists 4 users;

Are User 1, 2, and 3 actual "users" in the system?

No, they are domain users, not users within BUE.

So those "users" are in your AD? I would disable the account, or delete them if necessary. You may be able to dwindle the error down to just listing \SYSTEM, or resolve the problem entirely. If those accounts no longer exist, they cannot be logged-on, right?

Hmm.. Do they actually say User1, 2, and 3? Or did you change the names to "protect the innocent"?

yes, AD users, they are domain users, that have domain admins rights.

i figured it out.

had to go into the change password wizard and then it let me change the username associated with the system logon account.
