D link switch to another dlink switch conflict

Hi experts

I am sharing internet connection from ADSL through my friend's home ADSL router. He has Dlink 5 ports switch conneted with the ADSL modem/router. I am sharing this D-link 5 port switch through Cat6 cable and it is conneted to another D-Link 5 ports switch in my home because I need multiple internet connectivity at my home. at my home internet access is OK but some times my internet onnection becomes inactive! The CAT6 cable has straight through connection. Please give an answer.. Thanks in advance.

do both devices have dhcp?
are they both routers with built in switches?
do you have two internet connections coming into the house?

internet can drop out also if you dont have an ADSL filter n your phone line  or the filter is faulty or incorrectly connected.

I can get 100 MBPS connection. I am using adsl filter.
is there any problem if I connect D link switch to anothe Dlink switch with straight through cabling?

Yes, the Straight through cable will work to connect DLink switches.

theoretically the same devices (with some few exceptions) should have cross-over cable, just try with one between switches
