Connecting second router as "AccessPoint" Pros and Cons.

Hi.

I will move to a pair-house. (My sisters house)
She alreday have internetconnecting and a router (A).

I will have a cable from that router to my part of the building.

There I have mine router (B).

I have tested to connect my router in two different ways.

1. Letting router B only act as an access point, and let router A act as router with DCHP.... for all clients, both the one connected in B and in A.

2. Letting router B also act as an router (getting its IP from A dynamic)

What ever configuration I choose it works nice, I can access shared folders om "both"  networks.
access both routers "homeside" and so on.

So my question is, whats the pro and cons for the different configs?
(What will be the best in my situation?)
Is there any disadvantage to let router B act as an router?

Thanks.
