Question
Web Filtering / Firewall
We are a small medical facility (about 100 users) and will be going through a relationship change with another larger facility. In the past they have provided web filtering, firewall, spam/email filtering as well as providing VPN and Citrix access. This will not happen until next year but I would like to begin preparing for those changes. Can you suggest some good/efficient/not overly expensive software/appliances for us? I will be evaluating over the next few months. Examples of what others have done would be great.

I agree with Bmsjeff. For 100 users, my recommendarion woudl be the X1250e. I use the SpamBlocker, IDS and Gateway AV along with the standard features, and for the price, I do not think you will be disappointed: http://www.watchguard.com/
Also look at Juniper new SRX and SSG series; they offer all the features most other products do; you should give weightage to any brand you are familiar and then do price vs feature comparison to see which best suits your need.
Please note most products including Juniper offer UTM [antivirus, antispam, web/url filtering] features as licensed features, so cost of license and renewal should also be considered when choosing from among the products.

Go with a cisco ASA 5510 security plus firewall with a Content Security and Control service module installed. These are great for your size of a company. Here are some links that might help you:
