We have just migrated to Exchange 2007 and have copied the Nagios configuration file for our old Exchange server to check our new server. On the Exchange (SMTP) check, we are receiving a Critical Error with a message (Return code of 135 is out of bounds).
Other services on our new Exchange server, i.e. pings, total processes, owa, are reporting OK status. Is there something different about Exchange 2007 that would cause the check process to not function correctly?
The command for checking SMTP is as follows:
check_smtp $USER1$/check_smtp -H $HOSTADDRESS$
