Browse All TopicsAfter installing sp8 on all my Netware 6.5 servers, I noticed that it added "tomcat5" to each of the autoexec.ncf files. So I assume it is loading tomcat4 and also tomcat5 as the tomcat4 lines still exist.
All is running fine after the updates and iManager 2.7 is running fine. Should I remove the tomcat4 lines from the servers' autoexec.ncf files?
I want to upgrade Groupwise 7.02 to 8.02 on one of these servers that is running Groupwise and WebAccess. Thanks.

You're right about SP8 adding tomcat5. Actually tomcat5 is an iManager 2.7.x requirement. If you use GroupWise WebAccess on the box, you'll need tomcat4 also. Be sure that tomcat4 loads first or you may see a problem with WebAccess trying to use tomcat5 (which will fail).
I add a ? to the beginning of the tomcat5 line so that it delays by 10 seconds during server restart. That will give tomcat4 plenty of time to load properly.
Interestingly on OES2-Linux (which is also NetWare 6.5 SP7) GroupWise 8 for Linux uses tomcat5 (novell-tomcat5).
Hope that helps..
