We are running Groupwise 6.5, SP6/7 on Novell Open Enterprise Server, Netware 6.5, service pack 6. What I need to be able to do is add another domain email address for a few clients aside from their Groupwise email address. Essentially the user would recieve their mail in 2 seperated mailboxes, kind of like nicknames do.
e.g. user1@myDomain.edu and user1@hotmail.com
Is this possible?

I have the forward rule in place, but when they 'reply' they reply to themselves since it was forwarded. They (2ppl) want to be able to reply to the person who orginally sent the message.
This will be used to basically CC emails to their blackberry phones/accounts.
A lot of work for nothing if you ask me, but you know how that goes :)

Yes. But you don't want two separate email accounts unless you want the user to be able to reply as either one. GroupWise Internet Agent and Internet Addressing will allow as many i-Domains as you want (Tools | GroupWise System Operations | Internet Addressing).
However you mention the same user with two separate email accounts and in that case you should create another email account *after* adding the additional i-Domain to your configuration and alter the Internet Addressing on each of those accounts by going to the properties of the account, finding the GroupWise tab and going to the Internet Addressing screen. In the lower part of the dialog, you'll see an Override button to the left of a drop down that will list the default i-Domain. Click the override check box and then choose the other domain you need. Repeat for each user.
Now login to GroupWise with these other accounts and grant the original person who wants to use them with Proxy access rights. Go to the Tools menu | Client Options | Security | Proxy Access tab and add the user that matches the new one. Give all rights by checking all boxes and click OK.
Logout and log back in as the original user and choose Proxy from the upper left of the client or from the File menu. Add the target user in and click OK. The other account should come up. When you want to return to the original account find the Proxy in the upper left and click the down arrow and choose the Online account.

Ok, I've tried setting up another i-Domains, this did not resolve my problem. Setting up a proxy isn't quite what I'm after either.
Maybe to put it simpler, heres a scenerio:
I want to send an email to user@myDomain.edu, when my Groupwise box delivers this mail it will deliver to user@myDomain.edu and user@hotmail.com. Basically my Groupwise box will relay all messages sent to user@myDomain.edu to their private account user@hotmail.com. In the end they have the same message in 2 accounts, one of which resides in a domain that I do not own or control.

Ok. What you want is a forwarding rule that is setup in the client but executed by the Post Office agent.
Open the GroupWise client for the user and choose Tools Rules and create a new rule. Call it "forward to hotmail" for sake of argument.
The only thing you need to do is then add an Action which will be Forward. When the screen comes up add the user@hotmail.com and click OK.
By default GWIA allows rule based messages out. I'll assume you haven't changed any defaults.
Send a message and see if it forwards.

Forwarding is what I have in place now, and it does work.
but when it fowards and they reply, it's to themselves. They want to reply to the original sender.
I don't think it's possible with GW 6.5, I have seen it is possible in 7, but our next upgrade is Exchange.
All the solution I'm looking for will do is cut 1 step out of what they're already doing.
Don't ask why I'm going through all this trouble for essentially nothing.
I think in order to fix the reply to themselves, you need to click on the check box in the GWIA | GroupWise tab | Message Formatting page called "Enable Flat Forwarding".
the Help says it strips out the empty messages when a message has been forwarded a bunch of times but I seem to recall reading just a few days ago about a situation that was very similar to yours and the fix was the /flatfwd in the gwia.cfg file or enable flat forwarding in ConsoleOne.
Either way you should unload and reload the GWIA after adding this.

Do you see the SMTP/MIME tab when you choose the properties of your GWIA object in ConsoleOne? If you only see the Other tab, Rights to files/directories and a couple of others, you need to restart C1 after re-logging into the network. In order to see the Message Formatting page, you must see the SMTP/MIME tab. You'll also see a POP3/IMAP, LDAP, Server Directories, Access Control and other tabs if everything is working.

General question though (and I see what you're doing at a variety of places and in every case it causes problems): Why are you allowing a user of your system to forward all of their incoming mail (their *.edu) account out to a hotmail account? You realize that organizational mail is being sent out and you lose control? When their hotmail boxes fill up, you'll be the one to get the messages that hotmail won't accept their mail anymore due to the fact the mailbox is full.
IMO, you should not allow this (forwarding to an outside account so they can read their mail there instead of from your system) to happen (even for the CEO) because of the issues listed above and several others.
The most recent issue that caused panic at the highest level of the organization occurred when the CEO sent an email out to all explaining some issue and was quickly greeted with about 100 emails back with the error of full mailboxes mentioned above. His comment was "I didn't send to aol or hotmail or yahoo or gmail...I sent to our company."
You mention you'll probably move to Exchange next instead of upgrading to the next GroupWise. Won't it be much, much less expensive to do the upgrade over a rip and replace plus the purchase of a migration utility (M+Archive or Quest or Transend) plus the purchase of 64-bit servers and consulting time? If you need assistance with any sort of renewal or license upgrade, etc. let me know. I'm in the middle of a large migration of 4,200 users and the difference between a simple upgrade to GW8 versus going to Exch. '07 was waaaaaaayyyyyyy up in the six figures. The organization wants one email system instead of 2,200 on Exch. and 4,200 on GW. Its a great project that is going very, very well but it is expensive. Please let me know if I can help further.

I used hotmail only as a example, it's actually blackberry.att.net, either way I can see your point. They want this so they can get their email via blackberry phone. And sometimes you can't prevent non-technology people from getting what they think they "need".
As far as exchange goes, we will do the migration in-house and all of the hardware/software has already been purchased. It won't be much of a migration, we will start fresh with all email accounts. Repercussions are sure to come from this plan :)
Do you know about the free Blackberry Enterprise server for GroupWise? It comes with the costly server license and five clients FREE...all you need to do is provide either a physical or virtual Windows 2003 server (standard works). They get all of their GW mail, contacts, calendar, etc. on their blackberry and there is no cost. It is fairly easy to setup too.

I've looked at Blackberry Enterprise server for GroupWise except we run GW on Netware and we don't want to spend any money on this. Our GW box has been here for years, it was an after thought and none of the orginal Admins are still here. Our GW box is broke, GWinter is a memory hog and none of us are real Netware admins, we bandaid each problem, hoping GW works a bit longer or hope it will hurry and break so we can move on.

You can forward the all received e-mail to second address throught a rule.
