A good start is to run PKIDIAG and TCKEYGEN at the server console.

Choose the option to FIX on PKIDIAG, the rest is automatic. (I think it's option 4, then 0)

TCKEYGEN doesn't require any input - you can watch it's output in the logger screen.

To elaborate a bit on NothingSirius' comment:

Error 503 happens most probably because Tomcat doesn't start, and that happens most probably because it cannot connect to secure LDAP. When you try to unload and load NLDAP you'll probably get an error message about the certificate not being valid. You can repair that with PKIDIAG.

After repairing, reload NLDAP, load tomcat and restart apache.

Thanks to both of you for getting back to me on this.  I will try these suggestions on Fri. and let you know how it comes out.

ok - not working yet but  this is what I found, any other suggestions?

After running PKIDIAG I found the following:
fixable probs found = 0
problems fixed = 0
unfixable problems found = 0

IWhen I unloaded NLDAP and loaded it again, I received no error.

I ran TCKEYGEN without problem also.

I shut down apache and tomcat and restarted but the problem still exists.

On the APACHE 2.0.63 for Netware Console Screen...
Configured LDAP was found ready to user
NIF CertHandler: Root certificate file for master ldap not found, requesting a new one from server
NIF CertHandler #Root Certs=1
NIF CertHandler Retrieved certificate of size=1320
Master "outside IP address" down
LDAP initialization failed
(Then the console just starts over again and displays the same thing again over and over again)
(Does Tomcat 5 have to be installed...I noticed on my other servers it is installed)  I have sp8 installed on all of the servers.

I just noticed that the outside IP address listed on the console error (listed below again) is not the correct one.  Is that something that can cause this?  If so, how do I change that setting?

Try JAVA - EXIT and then TOMCAT4. Watch the logger screen to see what errors happen. Does TOMCAT start at all? Does it say something like "starting server in 13,456ms"? Might try unloading Java, then TOMCAT5 followed by TOMCAT4.

I'm running out of suggestions...

I would guess you have to look in  SYS:apache2\conf\httpd.conf. Somehow a config file got messed up. You could take a look in TID 10067853 to see where IP addresses in Netware 6.0 are registered. 6.5 isn't all that different:

I have tried everything suggested and more.  I don't understand it.  All I want to do is use IManager to install some printers.  Is there another way one can install printers in Netware 6.5 other than using IManager.  All I want to do is install a few new printers on this small network!!!
I still have the same problem...

I really hate to ask the obvious - but can't you use one of the other servers iManager to do it? Does it have to be this server? And of course, you can use ConsoleOne or NWAdmin for installing printers. If they are NDPS printers, you probably WILL have to use NWAdmin.

Tomcat5 IS installed, or should be, in it's own directory next to Tomcat4.

What exactly is Master "outside ip address" anyhow? I don't see any of that anywhere on the web except in your question. Is the phrase "outside IP address" in your Apache conf file? If it is, is it supposed to resolve to an address? And does it? Does it need to be added to the hosts file?

by: krusebrPosted on 2009-09-17 at 19:15:49ID: 25362559

I only have one server in that building's network.  I will try to use nwadmin.  I thought one could not use that any longer to install printers.

NDPS snapins are included with NWadmin 5.19f that comes with NW65.
You can manage all pure NDPS options and basic iprint options like
enable/disable and secure/unsecure . For advanced iprint options and
uploading XP drivers you need iManager.

NwAdmin can only assign Win2000 drivers, but they work with XP as well.
