The above seems to have did the trick. Backups ran fine last night. No errors reported. I stumbled across this fix here:

Started getting these messages recently and i am not sure how to resolve the issue. Have checked symantec forums for answers but nothing has helped. The job ran fine the other day, not sure why i keep having the same problem.
Can anyone provide some direction?

Trying these steps per the symantec forums...
Start by making these changes:
1. BESTOP
2. Edit sys:\system\ofm\ofmnw.cfg:
VerboseMsgLogging=1
SyncTimeOut=180
WriteInactivityPeriod=1
3. Edit sys:\system\ofmcdm.cfg:
WriteInactivityPeriod = 0x1
SyncTimeOut = 0xB4
VerboseMessageLogging = 0x1
4. BESTART
