Video problems
keep getting error current video display can't be used then wants to reinstall drivers (this for vga). even after reinstall and reboot says same thing. the machine has a matrox card in it but drivers wont' reload. this all started with the installation of pcanywhere 9 (by another stupid user) with procomm on system and keyboard freezes. symantic said to change key
hkey_local_machine/systme/ currentcon trolset/se rvices/rrc trl start:reg_dword 0x1 to 0x4 which was done and fixed the keyboard probelm but on reboot vga has been screwed since
so now it keeps booting with curren video error and reinstall does nothing and can't install matrox drivers.

already running 9.0.1
First reinstall the service pack that you use, then try to reinstall the matrox card. If that don't go see for the next:
I know that PCanywhere change the MSGINA file to something else maybee when you try this.

Just re-install the Service Pack, that will solve the problem I think.

reinstalling sp4 did nothing
Delete the file named awvideo.dll or remove PC Anywhere, and then reinstall the Matrox drivers.

I've removed every dll that the symatic and microsoft articles have mentioned plus what you folks have. i've searched for the mga*, i've removed pcanywhere AND the matrox (twice). continue to get error on bootup.
i've pretty much given up and am going to build him a new drive in the morning. that'll tak 90 minutes which is clearly going to be faster than troubleshooting this!
thanks for all the help.
