The file 'asms' on Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 CD is needed error message during XP Repair

Hi Everyone;

         I am attempting a repair of XP to help rectify various registry corruptions on a laptop through using the repair feature of the XP CD.  During the Installing Windows phase, I got the following error message:
The file 'asms' on Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 CD is needed.  Type the path where the file is located, and then click OK.  Copy files from: Globalroot\Device\CDROM\I386.

         Any help on locating the path to this file and proceed with the repair of XP will be appreciated.
