Can't connect POP3 through ISA 2006 firewall Client (goofy error!)

Zones: Post Office Protocol 3 (POP3), MS Internet Security & Accel

     Cannot connect to godaddy pop3 server through ISA 2006 firewall client.
     Can connect to other pop3 servers (e.g. verizon's) through ISA 2006 firewall client.
     Can connect if I bypass ISA all together and try it from our DMZ to godaddy.
     Can connect from home (Verizon dsl) to pop3 godaddy server.

My ISA firewall logs report:

I did a lookup on code: 0xc0040034
= FWX_E_SEQ_ACK_MISMATCH
0xC0040034
A TCP packet was rejected because it has an invalid sequence number or an invalid acknowledgement number.

I couldn't find any clues on google that seemed appropriate.

The problem is intermittent: it worked fine for about a week, stopped yesterday for a few hours, spontaneously fixed itself, but refused to work this morning.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated,
