Can't get smtp and pop3 working on exchange 2003 sbs

Ok I successfully have exchange up and running on ms sbs 2003. My client would like to access their email over their blackberry so I wanted to configure pop3 and smtp on there as well (I do not want to run bb enterprise server).  I seem to have smtp port 25 forwarding correctly.  I configured outlook and I can send an email but the email never seems to reach its destination and I do not get any error message back.  I cannot seem to get port 110 forwarded.  I following instructions from cicso but I ran shields up at grc.com and it says 110 is closed (does anyone have a better port scanner) and when I hit send and receive I get:

Task 'servername - Receiving' reported error (0x80042108) : 'Outlook is unable to connect to your incoming (POP3) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

I have the default smtp and pop3 virtual servers running do I need to do something with the connectors as well?Start Free Trial
