POP3 email to remote user gives NDR and isn't delivered

My client uses POP3 for all email. After installing a file server with Windows Small Business Server 2003, I configured the POP3 connector to retreive the email and distribute it to the correct user. I was then notified that another employee requires email at the same domain address. Email sent from elsewhere reaches this remote user, but email sent from within the office domain (alliedair.local) bounces and a NDR follows. I've searched Technet but the solution thay profer doesn't work. HELP
