I have 60 users who were successfully POPing for their email using "my server requires authentication" and "use same as incoming server" when connecting to exchange 2003.
After migrating mailboxes to Exchange 2007 and configuring the POP3 sevice in EMS to use logintype plain text, users can pickup new email but they CANNOT relay email to external recipients - they get a 550 5.7.1 Unable to Relay error.
Every time a make changes to the POP3 settings on Exchange and SSL in Outlook 2003 clients I break the ability for the Outlook clients to receive email.
I can't seem to find the right mix of settings OR maybe Exchange 2007 has to have secured ports??? I was trying to avoid re-configuring 60 Outlook clients in 3 states. I'm finding tons of articles but none apply directly to me.
