I am trying to setup a few users off site with pop/imap using outlook 2003. Downloading mail is not a problem. Sending mail seems to be an issue.
I am confused. When I setup the email account for POP3 access, I clicked the button to test my settings, everything worked with no problems.
After the test, I pressed send/receive and all the email downloaded to the users outlook 2003...great.
I tried to send a test email to an outside account, one not part of our company, and it bounced back. I tried another external email address, bounced back.
However, I CAN email to another users in the company, on the same exchange box, with no issues. No bounce back or anything...
I am using the default ports for POP3.
Is there anyway to configure the outlook 2003 client to be able to send from the remote office? Or do I need to contact the ISP and get SMTP Server credentials?
I thought there was a way to setup a secure port so that it didn't matter what ISP I was connected to to send email.
