hi
please can you explain me this:
i sent email from my pc to another pc inside the office local network using thunderbird and attached doc with 26 mb (word file) and we are using cmail server ,the file is gone normally from my pc,but two hours after she got no email,when i checked my server there is no email waiting to be pushed..
i dont know where is the file ?
i am using smtp (mail server) with no pop3 ..

You use SMTP to send mail. Servers use SMTP to relay/deliver mail to other servers. POP3 can be used for the client side, to download mail from a server; other alternative is IMAP (or web access).

If the message is delivered without an error message, the server has accepted it. Since it's local, the server should have moved it to the recipient's mailbox and she/he should be able to download or view mail.

This looks like a server error or malfunction. You should review all settings to see if there has been a problem with a too large attachment or something. The server may have logs that tell you a lot of interesting things. If antivirus software is running on the server, you may have to check settings there as well.

Otherwise, as rid says, we should probably take a look at your server settings in your email clients. Unless of course, you can send her just a quick email with no attachments, can you?

I think the local mail server is not configuret corectly. You should find in options (you didn't tell us what mail server are you using) and select option not to relay message. Also you should check what is maximum attachment size and check on what mail adress you sent mail.
What possible happened to you:

1. Your mail server is configured to relay message and you entered wrong e-mail adress for recipient, that way your mail accepted mail and because it didn't find correct user to deliver mail, it simple relayed it forward, eventualy if that user don't exist, mail will be dropped.
2. Your mail server is configured to drop mail if doesn't meet required option (file size is to big), so mail server simple deletes mail without notifying about unsucessiful delivery.

As it's naim sugest its for small workgroup, office or small company for internal and eventualy external e-mail send/receive.
It is easy to configure, easy to distribute emails and defining domains and easy of use. I'm using it two years without any problems!
It worth every dolar.

Yes, It has spam filter, antivirus integrated an can be used to track, archive, create alliases and other stuff. It's simpliciti was first thing which catch my fancy. First, I use Jet engine which is built into instalation of WorkgroupMail.
Second, You can't use mysql, only SQL if you have instalation and license to use it (usualu for big corporation).
Third, Yes you can have two or more database engines on your PC indipendently.

Just do next/next/finish instaltion and everything shoudl be ok.

As long as I know, they can use pop3 outside of office, but if you need webmail, there is plugin which work with 7.xx version, but I'm not sure how it will work now. I'll check it and post here result.. I suppose there is possibility, but you will be in need for web server.

i installed the softmail is fantastic how it works..
only i have some questions for the moment..
1-most of the emails go to the quarantine folder and i must everytimes resend them is there anyway to let the email go if it is not in the blacklist
2-some of the emails are coming throw that i dont want but i cannot put them in the blacklist
3-when i install so.exe web based email everytimes it asks me to upgrade the iexplorer that i did and i have the version 7 but still i cannot install it
