Exchange 2003 SMTP/ POP over SSL

Asked by co_ol in Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), Exchange Email Server, SBS Small Business Server

Tags: exchange, ssl, smtp, 2003, over

I'm running SBS Standard with exchange 2003. All my mail currently gets send to a smarthost with basic authentication.
I have been advised that they have changed the mail servers and require me to use for the outgoing server (SMTP) port 465 over ssl and the incoming server (POP3) port 995 over ssl.

I figured out how to change the smtp port on the virtual smtp server. However I'm not sure what to do with the ssl part. Can anybody point me in the right direction. ThanksStart Free Trial
