I forgot to mention that I already had disabled my virus scan, spamfilter and firewall. I also toggled the mail server authentication...when it's on I get the "enter network password" popuo constantly. I also tried port 587 and receive an error when I have it set to 587. I also tried creating my email accounts on my son's laptop and I'm getting the same errors and problems, so I know it's not my computer and has to be my connection to the smtp server. I can not use my ISP server because I need to send out 2500 emails twice a week and they won't allow it. I've been working on this problem now for over a week and my business is virtually shut down because of it. Please, do you have any other suggestions...perhaps a way to find a GURU like yourself locally who can come over and assist me from my computer. I'm desperate!

Greetings jamiebraman !
t/howto/pr ofile.htm
1. Register an important send/receive library file. Go to Start > Run and type regsvr32 inetcomm.dll
2. Check if antivirus email check is slowing sending and receiving. Disable it. Check if other programs running in the background is interfering. Disable one at a time the Firewall, antispyware, antispam, and all Norton programs.
3. In the account settings, Advanced settings, change the server timeout time from 1 min to 5 min
4. Check if outgoing mail server authentication is required. Toogle this option. Turn authenticatin off. Test. Turn it on. Test.
5. Your ISP may be blocking port 25. Try using alternate port 587.
If no joy, you need to use your ISP SMTP server to send out emails.
6. Create a new Outlook profile.

7. Check with email provider Tech Support to determine if server is having trouble.
