I recently ran a GFI anti-spam report and discoverd there are invalid email accounts (from our own domain) sending out emails. I am 99.99% sure that our 1 Exchange server is closed to relaying (I recently ran open relay tests from abuse.net and others to verify that it is closed to relaying). I also configured our firewall so the SMTP port is only open for our Exchange server.
Does anyone know of a way to configure either Exchange 2003 or GFI MailEssentials v12 to prevent invalid accounts from sending emails? Is there any way to track down wich computer on the LAN is the origin of these emails?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
