I am using a product called Newforma. To use it completely I have to setup a SMTP service on the Newforma server. I then have to allow relaying from that Newforma server to my Exchange server. In Exchange I have entered IP addresses of my 2 Newforma servers. I also have checked that "all pcs that authenticate" can relay.
My Exchange server is in Cleveland. I have a Newforma server in Cleveland and in Florida. We are connected with an MPLS 10mbps WAN. My Cleveland Newforma server is working fine when I try to relay email to external email address and internal. My Florida server is denied when trying to relay to external email. I get the"5.7.1 Unable to relay for..." error. I also checked that under Advanced for my Exchange SMTP service has the FQDN entered.
I've read several articles but still can't get this figured out. Any suggestions?
