I set up an alias (ie. lab) for a user who doesn't use his user name for his email address in Exchange. When trying to set up his computers with MS Outlook pointing to the email account, I typed in lab for his account and the exchange server sent back his name. There doesn't seem to be a place to change this option. I then created a user called lab in AD and created a mailbox for that user and I still couldn't get the email to route correctly. A different user with an alias (nurse) was able to receive email from an external source and was able to send emails, but did not receive internal emails. I have set up numerous users that worked correctly and I'm not sure what the problem is. Any ideas?
