Thanks for your help. It was a security issue with my ISP (Rogers). It is resolved now.

Browse All TopicsI just purchased a usb temperature device which alerts me via email when temperature thresholds are exceeded in my server room. It has the ability to send via SMTP server and asks me for the following: SMTP Server (ip or name), mail from, mail to, subject, smtp username, smtp password and smtp port of 25.
My question is, I don't use pop email on exchange 2003 in my corporate environment, how can I set up smtp on my device to send emails? I tried by ISPs smtp FQDN with the proper authentication without luck. Can I set it up so Exchange sends it and if so, how?

You would have to tell the exchange server to relay mail from the source address of the machine that the heat monitor is attached to or allow your firewall to pass smtp (TCP 25) outbound from that box to your ISP's SMTP relay. Give either a go - let me know if you need some more help with this.
