Messages Stuck in SMTP queue delivered after sever reboot

I have a strange issue with messages seemingly stuck in my SMTP queue being delivered after I reboot my exchange server.  All the messages in question are from the same date about 3 months ago.  These messages do not show up in any of the SMTP queues or virtual folders before the reboot occurs as I verfied this before rebooting.  The last time I rebooted most of these messages got mysteriously delivered but there appear to have been some more lurking around somewhere as more were delivered during this last reboot.  I am not sure where these messages could be located on the server.  Or why all were not cleared out during the first reboot.  Any insight as to how I can clear them out for good?Start Free Trial
