Our exchange server stopped working. We have found that our primary DNS is not working, it is giving an error "The DNS server was unable to open Active Directory". Then switched users to our secondary DNS server, and other servers worked. But exchange server which exist on our primary DNS server did not work. We are unable to start MS Exchange Information Store, nor MS Exchange Event services. In the Application event viewer, I find a lot of MSExchangeDSAccess, MSExchangeES, and MSExchangeSA errors. When I open Exchange System Manager, then I open server properties, then I click on "Directory Access" tab, it gives me an error "There are no bindings." Can you please help me to have our exchange server look at our secondary DNS server?

We have changed primary DNS on our network adapter to our secondary DNS server and removed the primary DNS server (which is also our exchange server) from it. Then we have restarted the two servers, but the the services are still giving an error.
Was your original DNS Server also your Global Catalog Server? On your active Domain Controller(s), if you go to Active Directory Sites and Services and look at the properties of NTDS Settings, do you have it checked to be a GC? Afterwards, reboot Exchange to let it detect it.
