I am trying to set up this usb temperature guage called "Temperature @lert".
I have it installed on a XP Pro machine, the software works fine. What the product is suppose to do is, send me an Email when the temperture in our server rooms get to hot.
The software asks for a SMTP server and credentials. I dont have my own Mail server so i thoguht i would use Gamils SMTP server with my username and password. I searched Gmail and it gives some steps on how to use GMail as a SMTP server and actually gives Ports and how to's on their site. I set it up all correct, plug in the right ports and what not and try to send a email throught the Temperature @lert software and it just will not work. There is a send a test Email feature and when i use it i do not get any errors and that tells me that ever thing went through correctly.
Is there anyone out there that has used this software and had set it up to email your account?
