I have a outside business relation who I setup a Active Directory Contact for, just using it to forward his personal e-mail account to our exchange address we have provided him with. He wants to know how to send from this account and I need to know if just setting him up with an e-mail client would work. I question this cause he does not have an actual account or permissions to the domain other than the e-mail address.
Should he not be able to set up his outsider@mycompany.com in Outlook 2003-7 and send from this? He has no password to authenticate with, so this is where I question how this would work. Right now his contact in AD is just setup for his public hotmail account as SMTP, and our SMTP.
What more would be needed?
