I have just received the following undeliverable message for an email:
There was a SMTP communication problem with the recipient's email server. Please contact your system administrator.<IS-3324.tim
eoutdoors.
com #5.5.0 smtp;553 sorry, relaying denied from your location [78.129.142.165] (#5.7.1)>
The email was sent from our website (timeoutdoors.com) using the SMTP server in IIS, which resides on 78.129.142.165. This is configured with a FQDN of IS-3324.timeoutdoors.com, which resolves to 78.129.142.165. We have the following SPF record published (which has been validated at
http://www.kitterman.com/spf/validate.html):
v=spf1 ip4:78.129.142.165 ip4:78.129.175.71 a mx a:monthly.smtp.com.
Given that the IP of the server sending the email is included in the SPF record, I'd appreciate any ideas as to why the email was rejected. This is the first time this has happened.
Thanks.
