No email routing(in/out) since a catch all public folder was removed.

Exchange 2003 Std SP2 on Windows 2003 server R2 with latest patches (windows update)
Been running for about 3 years (had large hardware upgrade 6months ago and increase DB sizes)..

On Friday one of our IT guys removed a public folder that is no longer required. It was a Catch all (all inbound email was logged there) Public folder and since its removal no email is routing. (both in or Out and even Internal). I am not sure if its anything to do with this folder being removed as everywhere I look it does not seem related.

Mail is sitting in the \VSI 1\Queue and not getting distributed.

I have tried renaming the VSi 1 directory and allowing SMTP service to recreate, but this has had no affect, new mail just sits there.. (tried this as I hear a dodgy message can hold up the queue).

I have also ran tests with eseutil, isinteg and mtacheck and they all say the databases are fine.
Also I dont seem to get any error in the application event log..

Any help would be very welcome.

Regards
Matt
