We have a system that will automatically send out an e-mail when an event occurs (this event happens to be when a lease application is moved to a certain stage in the process). That e-mails gets relayed to the Exchange server, which has the IP address of that system in it's exception "allowed to relay" list.
SOME of the e-mails that are going out are not being accepted by CERTAIN domains. HOWEVER, those domains that aren't accepting those types of e-mail (from the automated process described above) ARE accepting messages that are being composed using Outlook and sent from an employee, including myself. ALL e-mails are going through the exact same server.
THE QUESTION IS: Why would an e-mail server accept certain e-mails from us, but not others? How can it tell and what is the difference?
Any ideas?
