Exchange Security

I'm still an Exchange Novice despite having struggled with it for over a week.  Now I seem to have people using my SMTP services, but whenever I switch on the security I get problems with 'The Remote Simple Mail Transfer Protocol Service Rejected AUTH Negotiation' on the queue.  I realize this is primarily down to my ignorance, but could someone tell me how to protect my exchange server?  ThanksStart Free Trial
