Question

Incoming mail delayed or not coming in at all

Asked by: Bes4dmin

Hi
I have a problem that needs to be solved pronto.

I have a couple of recipients that are not receiving some mail from esternal domains. The mail are either delayed or not coming in at all.

I'ts a exchange server 2007 SP1. I have three receive connectors
Default connector
Client connector
Relay connector

Both Default and Client connectors are the one's created by default and the Relay connector was created by me for application relay by ip address.

When I perform the Troubleshooting assistant I get those errors on Error submitting Mail
Mail submission failed: Error message: Mailbox unavailable. The server response was: 5.7.1 Unable to relay.

What is wrong? Everything was working fine until yesterday.

Here are my receive connectors

Hi!

I have solved the problem my self by a very simple trick.
You need to disable smtp service from services list.
then restart mail exchange transport service.
Check pop3 connector it must receive email successfully now.
