ftp upload problem

I want to access a ftp server, and upload a file onto it. in office computer, the folders and files on the ftp are displayed as thumbnails. but at home, where I am using IE7, I don't understand how come data is displayed in list form like below.  
and If drag and drop a picture into the IE7,it just open the picture on it, instead of uploading the picture to the ftp.
how can it fix this?
