Running a VMWare machine through a proxy

Hello, I would like to know how to run a VMWare virtual machine through a proxy server.  I have some application running on the virtual machine that do not allow proxies to be configured. Therefore I would like the entire VMWare machine to run through a remote proxy (e.g. a free proxy server). This is so that all requests to external websites/servers appear to be coming from the proxy server instead of the VM address. Any ideas?
