Renewal of SSL Certificate in IIS

We have hosted a web application of one of our client in our web server. The client supplied a SSL certifiate in 2006 which was valid for 2 years. Since the certificate is expiring, the client has provided a new certificate.

The old certificate was provided by Equifax. The new certificate is provided by GeoTrust.

With this scenarion, do I need to apply the new certificate or renew the old certificate. Also when I requested the new certificcate, it was not asking for the location of the web server. Whereas when I look into the existing certificate of Equifax, I see the server location.

It will be helpful if some help is provided in this regard.
