Find IP address of a switch that a workstation is conneccted to

Asked by 9413systems in Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Network Switches & Hubs

Tags: find, switch, address

Is there anyway to get the IP address of the switch a workstation is connected to.  The layer 2/3 switches we use are 3com 3300/xm switches, which all have an IP address.   What I am doing now to do this is gettng the MAC address and going to DHCP or DNS to find the IP.  Do you know of any easier command or tool.Start Free Trial
