The Solution Rating System

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Server 2003 DNS or DHCP Issues, can't bring workstations online...

Hi there,
I have a server running Server 2003, with a DSL connection (set in bridge mode). I am trying to connect 7 Windows Vista Ultimate computers to this server and none of them are pulling an IP address from the server. I have the IP and DNS info from the DSL provider set as the IP and DNS for my server,(per instruction from the DSL people). So all of the IP, Gateway, DNS and so on are present. In the DHCP listing on the server I can see 3 workstations with assigned IP addresses, however I cannot ping any of these computers from the server.
I think I am missing a simple step but have wracked my brains for 2 days on this and can't get a solution.Start Free Trial
