Here is the situation. I had to repair a laptop (Swapped out motherboard on same model) and everything works fine on it but for one thing ... the wireless network card can't resolve a DHCP based address. I have multiple other machines on the same network, other laptops as well, and all of them resolve DHCP adress no problem. The laptop in question works fine if I assign it a static address.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers - no dice
I checked that RPC service was running - it is
I rest the IP stack with the netsh command - didnt help

My guess is that this has something to do with changing the MAC address on Windows but I really don't know. Windows XP 2 SP 2
