We have AT&T as are ISP and was our Primary DNS. we also had Network Solutions as as our
Domain registar and Name Servers.
We resently tranfered to another Company that is contolling our Domain Name Ourcompany.com
as is now controlling our DNS as well and we are having serveral issues.
my question is can we move all our DNS back to At&T and just create a pointer or other to the outfit the
has our domain and NS?

Let me clarify my question a bit futher:

can i sill controll DNS from ATT?

I'm still not clear on a one thing. AT&T was your Primary DNS, which means you used their DNS servers in your router, correct? If Network Solutions was the actual NS for your domain, then you wouldn't be able to us the AT&T Provisioning Tool to make DNS changes to your domain. The tool only works when AT&T is hosting the NS records for your domain.
Once you moved the NS to the new company you will need to use their tool to change the DNS info. I can be a little more clear if you want to post the NS for your domain or let me know the domain and I can look it up.

I think you're asking two different questions. The simple answer to your question is YES, you can have the new company host your website and have Network Solutions host the DNS for your domain. AT&T does not provide these services for "ourcompany.com". If you changed the DNS on your router or server to the new company's DNS servers, change it back to the AT&T DNS server info.
If you want to change the Name Servers for ourcompany.com back to the Network Solutions servers give them a call and they will do this for you. It's often easier to have them do it and make sure it's done correctly or no one will be able to access your website or send you email. When you call them you will need to provide them the Public IP address of your email server and web server.
