Browse All TopicsHi Everyone:
I am trying to work on a restored server in which the some Administration Tools menu icons and start menu icons are missing. For example, I can access the Domain Controller Users and Computer from the Manage your Server tool, but I do not see the icon on the menu. The same with DNS and DHCP. At this point, I am interested in any recommendations or tips which will correct this problem.
Is there s simpler way of getting everything to reappear, as it was when everything was fine?

You might look for a GPO that restricts visibililty of these functions perhaps allowed only to a group that your account is not a member of. RSOP.msc shows the resultant set of policies. Look under User Config / Admin Templates / Start Menu / Remove XYZ from Start Menu. There are many other places to look, but maybe you'll find something poking around in the policies.
