Setting up DNS in a new domain that will trust another domain over a VPN

My company is setting up a new web hosting environment.  The environment is located at an external hosting facility.  The new environment is connected to my office network over a site to site VPN.  I want to create an Active Directory domain in the new hosted enviroment that will trust my office network (and not vice versa).  What is the best way to setup DNS in the hosted environment so that I can add a trust to my office network once I install AD in the hosted network?  All domain controllers are running Windows 2003 in Windows 2000 mode.
1.  Should I install AD first with DNS integrated and then make some change in DNS so that it can see my office network?  I so, what change needs to be made so that this server will be able to see my office domain?  I tried using hosts and lmhosts but that didn't help.
2.  Should I setup DNS in the hosted environment as a secondary zone of my office network? (Probably not the right solution)

Any help would be much appreciated as well as letting me know about any recources that deal with this specific scenario.Start Free Trial
