Recently I have run into a problem - once on SBS 2003 R2 and once on Server 2000 - I have found I can not configure DHCP/DNS on the server when NAT is turned on in the router. It seems the only way the server is avaialble is if you set the server to DHCP and do no use it as a DNS server.... I understand I can just turn it off but on some routers - Delta-Com equipment for one, if you turn off NAT you must install another router and use the Delta-Com equipment as modem only. I ran into this with a Cox Cable modem router also. I'm suprised I have not seen this before now. Any assistance is appreciated!
Thanks! Bruce
