Moving mail hosting to Network Solutions when my local domain is a .com

Asked by TcAnthony in Domain Name Service (DNS), SBS Small Business Server, Web Hosting

Tags: Exchange, Active Directory, Small Business Server

I have a client who would like to move his mail hosting off site to Network Solutions and pull it in via a pop3 connector. He currently hosts his own with smtp. His reasoning is due to spam issues, etc. He is set on changing so I am not looking for answers regarding keeping him on smtp.
My question is this. His local domain is a .com. If we move his mail and domain name to NSI, I anticipate we will have issues with his internal network being able to see the external .com site and mail.domainname.com. Is there steps that we can take to correct this or are we stuck with keeping his .com name local?
Thanks in advance.Start Free Trial
